Welcome David! What is it that you do that makes you an entrepreneur?

I started a custom clothing company as well as invented and patented interchangeable necktie knots. I have also started speaking to large audiences about the entrepreneurial journey and what it takes to be successful.

How long have you had a passion for this?

I started into fashion about 6 years ago.

How is it that you came across this line of work?

I started making clothing for friends on a small scale. As it started getting more and more attention, I decided to try and turn it into a business and see what I could accomplish. I have always had an appreciation for style and fashion. I’ve realized how powerful a well tailored suit is in the professional world from a success or perception standpoint.

Do you have employees? If so, how many?

Yes, 7.

How would you describe your most interesting day at your business?

The joy of the entrepreneurial journey is that every day is extremely interesting and no day is the same. I would have to say two of the bigger stories that were unique would be the first time that I received a call from Ric Flair telling me that he wanted me to design a suit for his inductee night into the WWE Hall of Fame. The second would be whenever I received a random call from Blake Shelton’s personal stylist inquiring about doing some work with me. The journey has been so unique because every single day our platform reaches someone else and someone new. Each day, our team wakes up with a lot of momentum for the business and anything can happen at any time for us now due to the celebrity involvement with our company. It often seems as when things start really feeling as though they are “Crumbling”, there’s often something amazing at the other end…

Do you ever regret the path you’ve taken?

Not at all. The amount that I have learned over the last few years is something that purely could never be taught. This path has made me a better person in every aspect of my life. It has also allowed me to continue to grow and be better every single day. It’s been the hardest experience of my life, but it’s been the absolute best.

How do you market your business? Do you have any favorite marketing tools?

We don’t really do any marketing. We have relied on our relationship with the celebrities who wear our brand to post on social media. Outside of that, it’s word of mouth.

What would your main goal be for the future?

My long term play is to become one of the biggest names that men’s fashion has ever seen. We are building something special and with all of the momentum that we have, we truly feel that our company will become an international name very soon.

To what do you attribute your success?

Work ethic. It’s simple. It’s a matter of how bad do you actually want something? Everyone wants everything… but execution to get there is often the missing component.

Do you have any advice for the upcoming generations of entrepreneurs?

Just straight up do it… whatever it is, whether its creating a business, getting better at a trade, being a better person.. don’t wait. Do it now and do it today. When you start, give your self a 5 year commitment. Bust your ass as hard as you can for 5 years. Give up partying. Give up vacations. Give up weekends. Give up evenings… it will change your life for the rest of your life.
